Invite members, manage roles, and review pending invitations from the dashboard

Last updated: May 20, 2026

The Team section of the dashboard lets you invite colleagues to share access to your organization on Cloud-PBS, assign them a role, and manage existing members.

It is available at: https://app.cloud-pbs.com/team

Roles

Three roles can be assigned to a team member:

  • Administrator: full access. Can invite members, change roles, remove members, and manage organization settings (branding, support, sub-organizations).
  • Member: full operational access. Can create datastores, configure backups, manage remotes, and view billing, but cannot manage the team.
  • Read-only: read-only access. Can see datastores, backups, and notifications, but cannot trigger or modify any operation.

A member can only invite at their own role level or below. For example, a Member cannot invite an Administrator.

Inviting a member

  1. Open the Team page from the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click Invite.
  3. Enter the email address of the person to invite and choose the role to assign.
  4. Click Send invitation.

The invitation is then visible in the Pending invitations list. An email is sent to the invited address with a link to accept the invitation. The link is valid for 7 days.

Accepting an invitation

The invited person:

  1. Receives an email titled Invitation to join Cloud-PBS.com.
  2. Clicks the link in the email, which opens the acceptance page.
  3. If they don’t have a Cloud-PBS account yet, they must create one with the same email address as the invitation.
  4. If they’re already logged in with the right address, a single click on Join adds them to the organization.
  5. If they’re logged in with a different address, the page invites them to sign out and log back in with the correct one.

Once accepted, the new member appears in the Members list of the Team page.

Managing pending invitations

Administrators can see all pending invitations on the Team page. Each pending invitation displays the email address, role, expiration date, and a Cancel button.

If the invited person hasn’t received the email (check spam first), an administrator can cancel the pending invitation and send a new one.

Managing existing members

On the Members list, an administrator can:

  • Change the role of a member (Administrator, Member, Read-only).
  • Remove a member from the organization.

Removing a member revokes their access immediately. The removed user keeps their Cloud-PBS account but no longer has access to the organization.

Sub-organizations (MSP)

If your organization is of type MSP (Managed Service Provider), administrators can create sub-organizations to manage their own clients independently from the Sub-organizations section of the dashboard. Each sub-organization has its own members, datastores, and billing scope.
